LANCASTER, SC::::::: Mrs. Barbara Anne Lemmond McKinnon, age 82, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her home. She was born February 21, 1933 in Charlotte, the daughter of the late Walker Avery Lemmond and Evelyn Katherine Gravette Lemmond and was the wife of the late Charles L. "Lock" McKinnon, Jr. Mrs. McKinnon attended Kings College majoring in Secretarial Science. She enjoyed her job as the Admissions Counselor for the Lancaster Recovery Center and Union Memorial Hospital. She most recently retired from Hopewell United Methodist Church. Mrs. McKinnon was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder, sang in the choir and chaired many committees.

Mrs. McKinnon is survived by a son, C. L. "Dick' McKinnon III and his wife Donna of Lancaster; a daughter, Katherine "Kitty" McKinnon Pruitt and her husband Wayne of Statesboro, GA; four grandchildren, Ashley Saylors Boan and her husband Justin of Columbia, Chip McKinnon and his wife Erica of Lancaster, Cody Pruitt of Charleston, and Dr. Kelsey Pruitt of Statesboro, GA; six great grandchildren, Skylar, Natalie, Emmaleigh, Ricky, Autumn and Zackery; a son in law, Joel Dean Saylors; two sister in laws, Rebecca M. Davis of Myrtle Beach and Nancy and Max Bell of Lake Wateree, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McKinnon was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy McKinnon Saylors and a sister in law, Dot M. Findley.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. McKinnon will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church by Dr. John Todd. The graveside service will be at 2:45 pm at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Bethune.

The Family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home of Dick and Donna McKinnon. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 990, Lancaster, SC 29721.
