LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Herring Faulkenberry, age 70, of Azalea Gardens died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at her home. She was born October 19, 1938 in Lancaster County, the daughter of Ollie Snipes Herring and the late Albert Jackson Herring and was the wife of the late Claude "Shot" Faulkenberry. Mrs. Faulkenberry was the former owner and operator of Herrings Caf and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Faulkenberry was survived by her mother, Ollie Snipes Herring of Lancaster, a son, Eddie Caskey and his wife Jennie of Conway, a daughter, Mandy Blackmon of Lancaster, a sister, Kathy Herring Arant of Lancaster and 3 grandchildren, John, Jay, and Jeff Caskey.Mrs. Faulkenberry was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Herring Knight.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Faulkenberry will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jeff Williams. The Family of Mrs. Faulkenberry will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 -3:00 pm Thursday at Hartley Funeral Home and in lieu of flowers suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, Lancaster County Relay for Life, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The Family will be at the home of her sister, Kathy Arant, Apt. 119 Azalea Gardens, Hwy. 200 North, Lancaster SC 29720.
