LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Barbara Jeanette "Dinkie" Bailey Privette, age 65, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia. She was born May 15, 1947 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Carl Brunson Bailey and Sallie Audrey Jordan Bailey and was the wife of the late Cecil Ray Privette. Mrs. Privette retired from Joselyn Clark Control and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Privette is survived by her former husband and father of her two boys, Olin "Doodle" Bowers, 2 sons, Donnie Bowers and his wife Tommie Jo of Raliegh, NC, and Jay Bowers and his wife Tracie of Lancaster, a brother, Wayne Bailey and his wife Jackie of Lancaster, 3 sisters, Linda Plyler and her husband Billy Ray, Carol Bailey and Mary Smith all of Heath Springs, a sister-in-law, Betty Lou Bailey of Lancaster, 6 grandchildren, Keisha Bowers, Kristen Bowers, Courtney Bowers, Nat Young, Haylee Carnes and Chandler Bowers, and a great grandchild, Morgan Watford.

Mrs. Privette was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bailey and a sister, Kay Bailey.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Privette will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2013 at The Chapel of Hartley Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Don Waldrop and Rev. Buddy Thomas.

The Family of Mrs. Privette will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 Friday, March 22, 2013 at the funeral home and in lieu of flowers suggest memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
