LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Azilie Faile "Angie" Small, age 80, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 22, 1944 in Pageland, SC, the daughter of the late LeRoy Faile and the late Lena Boone Faile. A seamstress by profession until her disabilities enabled her. A wife, mother, daughter, sister aunt, and maw-maw by the Grace of God. Her hobbies were shopping, cooking, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Mrs. Small is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dewey L. Small; her son, Jerry Wayne Boone (Laura) of Lancaster; her daughter, Sheila McInnis Hudson of Lancaster; three stepchildren, Kathy Taylor (Les) of Fort Lawn, SC, Beverly Small, and Eddie Small; five grandchildren, April H. Hudson, Jon-Michael Hudson (Jessica) of Myrtle Beach, Jordan Boone Hinson (Justin) of Lancaster, Kendall Boone, and Hannah Boone of Lancaster; five great-grandchildren, Paisley H. Davis, Jaxon and Riley Hudson, and Navy and Kylar Hinson; three step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, C.L. Faile; four sisters, Alice Faile Pig, Linda Faile Morris, Gracie Lee Dudley, and Gladys Pressley; and step-grandson, Corey Arant.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Small will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 5, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Springdell Baptist Church, 1420 Springdell Church Rd. Lancaster, SC 29720.
