LANCASTER, SC ~ Ashley Anne Helgeson, age 36, passed onto heaven on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 1st, 1988, in Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan a daughter of Jerry Dean Helgeson and Bobbi Ann Pfahlert Helgeson.

Ashley was a Christian from day one! Her faith carried her through an amazing life journey. She was a visionary orchestrating Rally for the Cure Events, a decade of Lancaster Christian Services Edgewater Car Shows, Lancaster Arts Council Summer Classes for children, a Girl Scout Leader, a pet lover, an advocate for harmony, and loved to give. She enjoyed creating and attending celebratory parties, shopping, and playing games. Most importantly, her motto was, "What can I do for you?". She flourished in ensuring everyone was cared for and happy at the end of the day. On a professional surface, she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts teaching Middle and High School students for over a decade. During the Pandemic, she immersed herself in efforts to teach online with her students, parents, neighbors, friends, and associates this new way of life. She and her parents pioneered the beginning of the Edgewater Lake Golf Community together creating many social activities and functions that are thriving, still to this day!Ashley was a loving daughter and will be truly missed by her surviving mother, Bobbi Ann Pfahlert Helgeson, and brother, Robert Eugene Helgeson, and his wife, Krystene,Uncle David Helgeson and Uncle Chris ( Jeanne) Helgeson, and many cousins.

Ashley was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Dean Helgeson, and grandparents, Eugene and Marcella Helgeson and Robert and Dee (Dolores 'nee Miller) Pfahlert, Uncle Steve Helgeson, and Aunt Sandy Helgeson.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ashley will be at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC officiated by Rev. Robert Hones and Rev. Christina Trimble. Followed by a Committal Service for Ashley and
Jerry Helgeson, at Graveside.

A luncheon reception will be held at the Edgewater Clubhouse, 25435 Seagull Drive, Lancaster, South Carolina, until 4 pm. For those who wish, memorials can be made to the Douglas Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will be directed by Burgess Funeral Home and Crematory. All are invited to share a memory, condolence, and pictures for the family on the Burgess Website.
