LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Ashby Sherwood "Tommy" Tomlin, Jr., 64, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC. He was born on August 25, 1955 in Fort Bragg, NC, a son of the late Ashby Sherwood Tomlin, Sr. and Ruby Clark Tomlin.  He served in the United States Army, 101 ^st Airborne division, and in the Vietnam war.  Tommy was awarded a Purple Heart, Silver and Bronze star.  He was an avid outdoorsman, especially loved hunting, and fishing.  He enjoyed cooking, Clemson football, UNC basketball and NASCAR.  His world revolved around his precious daughter, Beth.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Jane Elizabeth "Beth" Tomlin (Jacob Martin); and many dear friends.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Johnny Tomlin; and a sister, Patty Williams.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
