INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mr. Arthur Edward Szymanski, age 83, passed away at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville on Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born January 2, 1935 in Union County, New Jersey, a son of the late Arthur Szymanski and Lydia Schlank Szymanski and the husband of Bobbie Jo BJ Ferguson Szymanski. Mr. Szymanski enjoyed playing golf and he dearly loved animals. He was a member of Paws in the Panhandle and a volunteer with the Lancaster County Sheriffs Department.

Mr. Szymanski is survived by his wife of 46 years, BJ Szymanski; a son, Russell Szymanski; and two brothers, Allen Szymanski and Lee Szymanski.

Mr. Szymanski was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffery Szymanski; and a brother, Robert Szymanski.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Szymanski will be 11:00 am Friday, August 31, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Don Waldrop.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 11:00 am, one-hour prior, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice in memory of Mr. Szymanski.
