LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Arthur Joe Morris, Sr., age 88, passed away Saturday, July 03, 2021 at his home.  He was born October 3, 1932 in Lancaster, a son of the late William Jarvis Morris and Levia Pardue Morris.  Mr. Morris served our country in the United States Navy and retired from the US Postal service after 24 years of service.  He was an avid Nascar fan. He enjoyed boating and lived on the lake for over 30 years. He was a Mason with the Camp Creek Masonic Lodge for over 60 years and was also a longtime member of the Jackson Shrine Club where he served on the cook team.  He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

Mr. Morris is survived by a daughter, Julie Middleton and her husband, Tommy; a son, Joey Morris and his wife, Janice; a sister, Marcene Plyler and her husband, Harris; six grandchildren, Joseph Morris (Tristian), Alicia Morris, Ryan Middleton, Cameron Middleton (Gaby), Jonathan Rivers and Jay Rivers; and a great granddaughter, Blakely Morris.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, William "Bus" Morris, Ben Morris, and Max Morris.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Morris will be 11:00 am Monday, July 5, 2021 at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Michael Jarrell.

The family will receive friends following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Jackson Shrine Club, PO Box 237, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC  29720.
