LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Archie Reynolds Rowell, age 87, died Thursday, February 06, 2014 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. He was born November 2, 1926 in Lancaster, the son of the late Shelly Hazel Rowell and Jamie Ruth Thompson Rowell and was the husband of the late Sandra Jane King Rowell. Mr. Rowell retired from Springs Industries, was a former leader for Boy Scouts Troop #82 and a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Mr. Rowell also served our great country in the Unites States Army during World War II.

Mr. Rowell is survived by his daughter, Tina Dixon and her husband Greg of Lancaster and his 4 grandchildren; Katelyn, Alex, Conner, and Tyler Dixon.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Rowell will be 3:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by Rev. Heather Humphries. Burial with Military Rites will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family of Mr. Rowell will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday, February, 8, 2014 in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorials be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 5908 Tabernacle Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
