LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Anne Ghent Robinson Aunt Anne, age 73, died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born December 23, 1942 in Chester County, a daughter of the late Frank Ghent and Annie Ruth Shoemake Ghent and was the wife of the late Bruce Taylor Robinson. Mrs. Robinson took care of her parents in their later years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved to cook for her family and friends, enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a lifelong member of Hyde Park Baptist Church. She loved her dog, P-Nut.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by a daughter, Nancy Whitaker and her husband, Robby; two grandchildren, Devin Taylor Adams and David Warren Adams; five brothers, Frank Ghent, Doug Ghent and wife Gloria, Bob Ghent and wife Joy, Lynn Ghent and wife Valorie, and Lee Ghent and wife Kim; five sisters, Fran Walters and husband Modie, Louise Wuori and husband Randy, Debbie House and husband Joe, Kathy Snipes and husband Tod, and Susan Taylor and husband Mitchell, special cousins, Harriett Dixon, Johnny Barton and Dianne Strickler and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Adams; a nephew, Bryan Taylor and a sister-in-law, Linda Ghent.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Robinson will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Hyde Park Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams, Josh Harned and Rev. Charlie Simpson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 Tuesday evening, May 10, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association of South Carolina, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
