LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Anna Anderson Smith, age 78, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at her home. She was born May 19, 1930 in Columbia, SC, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Anderson, Sr. and Vera Newman Anderson and was the wife of Hazel Eugene Hammond Smith. Mrs. Smith was a self employed real estate broker and co-owner of Mr. G's Food Stores, Smith Petroleum, Smith Rentals, and Eugene H. Smith, Inc, and a member of Zion United Methodist Church.Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Eugene H. Smith of the home, 2 daughters, Ginny Smith- Sistare and her husband Morris of Lancaster and Sue Smith Heath also of Lancaster, 8 grandchildren, Reagan F. Infinger, Greg Faile, Stephanie S. Ghent, Mary Frances Blackmon, Caroline Reeves, DeAnna Heath, G. B. Heath IV, and Alex Heath, and 4 great grandchildren, Caydence Blackmon, Jade Infinger, Wyatt Ghent, and Ashton Blackmon.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Anderson, Jr. and a grandson, Grant Miller Heath.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Smith will be 3:00 pm, Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2008 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Fred Davis and Rev. Buddy Thomas with entombment to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Family of Mrs. Smith will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday evening, December 10 , 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Lancaster County Relay for Life, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 or Children's Attention Home, PO Box 2912, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
