LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Ann Gardner Lowery, age 83, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born June 7, 1940, in Rock Hill, SC, a daughter of the late Kirby Gardner and Carmon Roberts Gardner and was the wife of the late Louie Edward Lowery, Sr. Mrs. Lowery was a very active long-time member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church where she was served as church secretary, WMU leader, and on the bereavement committee, along with many other areas of service. She enjoyed going on mission trips with her church family and cooking for them while away. Church and family were both very important to her and were her life.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by her two sons, Louie "Ed" Lowery, Jr. (Susan) and Michael "Mike" Lowery (Sharon); four grandchildren, Branden Lowery (Elizabeth), Megan Anderson (Darren), Michael Lowery, Jr. (Lindsay), and Justin Lowery (Kelly); eight great grandchildren, Caleb Lowery, Zach Lowery, Vince Anderson, Oliver Anderson, Diana Anderson, Jaxon Lowery, Lexi Lowery, and Emma Lowery; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Lowery; her parents; six brothers, Huey Gardner, Gary Gardner, Charles Gardner, Paul Gardner, William Gardner, and Tommy Gardner; and a sister, Shelby Outen.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Lowery will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jesse Adams and Rev. Jack Nunn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
