LANCASTER,SC:::::::::::::Ms. Ann Smith Harper, age 70, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at her home. She was born July 8, 1938 in Chesterfield County, the daughter of the late John T. Smith and Mace Funderburk Smith. She was a retired business owner and a member of Second Baptist Church.Ms. Harper is survived by 2 daughters, Robin Martin of Indian Land and Sharon Snipes and her husband Billy of Lancaster, a sister, Johnnie Hance of Lancaster, 4 grandchildren, Travis Rae Short, Cody Martin, Haley Anne Snipes, and Grayson Snipes, and 1 great grandchild, Ava Rae Short.Ms. Harper was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Frances Funderburk and Kate Smith.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Harper will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Second Baptist Church by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm with burial to follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.The Family of Ms. Harper will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday evening, December 8, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Second Baptist Church, Imagine the Impact Fund, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.The Family will be at the home of her daughter, Sharon and Billy Snipes, 550 Rock Springs Road, Lancaster.
