LANCASTER, SC ~ Angela "Angie" Crumpler Martin-Whitaker, age 49, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 in her home.  She was born January 4, 1971 in Lancaster, SC, the daughter of James "Jim" Crumpler and the late Carolyn Jordan Crumpler.  Angie was the wife of Eddie Carson Whitaker, Jr.  Angie loved singing, listening to music, reading good books and the mountains.  Her true joy came from spending quality time with her family and watching her son dance.  She was the Family Support Liaison for the United States Army Reserve.  Angie was a breast cancer survivor and a member of Lynwood United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Whitaker is survived by her husband, Eddie Whitaker; two sons, Gage Martin of New York, and Ryan Whitaker of Lancaster; a daughter, Courtney Whitaker of Lancaster; a grandson, Landon Davis; her father, James "Jim" Crumpler; a brother, Jay Crumpler; and two nieces, Morgan Spitler and Meredith Crumpler.

Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by her mother.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Whitaker will be 3:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2020 at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum officiated by Rev. Perry Evatt.   Due to the government-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing is encouraged.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
