FORT MILL, SC ~ Amy Kendra Wright Johnson, age 47, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 20, 1976, in Lancaster, the daughter of Sherry Lynn Rape King and the late Steven Clifton Wright and was the loving wife of the late Eric Mark Johnson. Amy was a graduate of Coastal Carolina University. She was an avid Coastal Carolina and South Carolina Gamecock fan. Amy loved traveling with her husband, Eric; she loved her "girls trips" to the beach with her Mommie and her aunts and their shopping trips together. Family was very important to Amy. Amy was daddy's girl and she loved spending time with him. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, gardening, reading, and listening to Christmas music as Christmas was her favorite time of the year. Amy loved her two cats, Mr. Kitty and Cabbage, and her dog, Georgia.

Amy is survived by her mother, Sherry King (Wilson); her special aunts and caregivers who were by her side through her illness, Pam Wright, Candy Catoe (Terry), and Kim Beacham (Tommy); her special cousins, Kip, Jamie, Jeremy, Kelan Wright, and Jason, Wade, Anna, Carly, Lindsay, Josee, Megan, Melody, and Nolan and Jesse, Josh, and Jaden Rape; and many other special family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Johnson; her father, Steven Wright; maternal grandparents, Donald and Emmagene Wright; and paternal grandparents, Clifford and Jackie Rape.

The Celebration of Life Service for Amy will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Michael J. Burgess. The family will receive friends following the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
