LIBERTY HILL, SC ::::::::::Mr. Alvin Harold Robertson, age 77, of 2290 White Heron Road, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 at his home. He was born August 10, 1931 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Pumroy Robertson and Viola Bowers Robertson and was the husband of Doris Mobley Robertson. Mr. Robertson retired from DuPont, was a Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge, a Shriner with Hejaz Temple and a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. Mr. Robertson was survived by his wife, Doris Mobley Robertson of the home, a son, Alvin Cline Robertson and his wife Cindi of Homestead, FL, a daughters, Mishelle Baker and her husband Mike of Warner Robins, GA, 2 sisters, Frances Gleaton of Lancaster and Margaret Davis of Camden, and 3 grandchildren, Chase Robertson, Christopher Baker and Jennifer Baker.Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Marvin Robertson and Elliott Robertson.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Robertson will be 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon, August 23, 2008 at Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church by Dr. Gene Rollings with urn burial to follow in the Memorial Garden.The Family of Mr. Robertson will receive friends immediately following the service in the Activity Building and in lieu of flowers suggest memorial contributions be made to Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church, Mance Building Fund, PO Box 170, Liberty Hill, SC 29074 or The American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
