LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Allison Rae Blackmon, age 37, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born December 5, 1984, in Lancaster, the daughter of Ronnie Blackmon and Karen Flynn Blackmon and the late Ken Simpson. Allison was married to the late Shannon Benton. She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. Allison was a caregiver for many years for her grandmother, Peggy Flynn.

Allison is survived by two sons, Cameron Benton and Jaxon Riggins of the home; her daughter, Emile Benton of the home; her parents; a brother, Brent Blackmon (Jennifer) of Lancaster; her grandmother, Peggy Flynn of Lancaster; a nephew, Zackery Blackmon of Lancaster; a niece, Abby Blackmon of Lancaster; and extended family and friends.

Allison was preceded in death by her husband, Shannon Benton; and second father, Ken Simpson.

The Celebration of Life Service for Allison will be 11:00 am Friday, January 21, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Patrick Blackmon, Rev. Zach Byrd, and Rev. Dale Walters. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1841 N. Rocky River Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720, or Hospice & Palliative Care, 1057 Red Ventures Dr., Suite 150, Fort Mill, SC 29707.
