INDIAN LAND, SC::::::::: Mr. Allen Jon DeRiemacker, Sr., age 79, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home. He was born August 19, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Albert James DeRiemacker and Gladys Gabler DeRiemacker and was the husband of Barbara Lilley DeRiemacker. Mr. DeRiemacker retired from American Airlines as Chief Pilot at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. He also served as Chief Pilot for Nomad's Travel Club of Detroit, MI. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis and traveling and served our great country flying B52's in the United States Air Force.

Mr. DeRiemacker is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Lilley DeRiemacker; four children, Cynthia Vogt and her husband, James of Chicago, Denise Robichaux and her husband, Richard Robichaux, MD of Baton Rouge, Al DeRiemacker, Jr. and his wife, Lori of Lake Norman and Janine Oracko of Chicago; eleven grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Scott, Ross and his wife Katherine, Grace, Clare, Ashley, Allen III, Drew, Troy and Trent; a great granddaughter, Evelyn and a brother, Ronald DeRiemacker and his wife, Gerda of Phoenix, AZ.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. DeRiemacker will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC at a later date.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Carolinas Healthcare Foundation, Carolinas ALS Fund, PO Box 32861, Charlotte, NC 28232-2861.
