LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Mary Alice Deason Reynolds, age 91, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home. She was born August 6, 1929 in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Luther L. Deason and Lillian Raffaldt Deason and was the wife of the late Ollie Reynolds, Jr.  Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed working outside in her garden and flower beds.  She loved her family dearly.  Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Melton (Dennis); three grandchildren, Shannon Lane, Rachel Morris, and Jeremy Morris (Amber); four great grandchildren, Eleanor Gail Melton, Lydia Claire Melton-Lane, Emmersyn Rae Forrester, and Hudson Ross Forrester; a sister, Ola Mae Outen; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Reynolds, Jr.; her son, Crawford Bruce Reynolds; her parents; three brothers, J.T. Deason, Ira Deason, and Grady Deason; three sisters, Margaret Boone, Grace Gainey, and Pauline Adams; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Outen.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Reynolds will be 3:00 pm Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Patrick Blackmon and Dr. Jessie Adams.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Social distancing will be practiced, and masks are required.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church family life center.
