VAN WYCK, SC::::::::: Mr. Albert "Al" Lee Williams, Jr., age 72, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born March 13, 1939 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Albert Lee Williams, Sr. and Elsie Bowers Williams and was the husband of Janesta Thompson Williams. Mr. Williams was a graduate of Clemson University and received his MBA in Business Administration from Winthrop University. He retired as District Director of DHEC for Lancaster, York and Chester Counties, was a former Mason, a member of the Van Wyck Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and in the church Men's Club. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Janesta T. Williams of the home, a brother, Kim W. Williams of Philadelphia, PA, 2 nieces, Erin Elese Williams of Louisville, KY and Meg Williams of Indianapolis, IN, 3 God Children, Zachary Bean, Savannah Bean, and Clayton Massey, a sister-in-law, Claudia Ann Thompson of Van Wyck, and the many children that called him "Uncle Al". The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Williams will be 11:00 am, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Van Wyck Presbyterian Church by Rev. Randy McSpadden and Dr. Barry Lambert. Burial was private. The Family of Mr. Williams will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and suggests memorial contributions to Van Wyck Presbyterian Church, PO Box 68, Van Wyck, SC 29744.
