HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Mr. James "Al" Cauthen, Sr., age 71, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at his home. He was born December 9, 1949, a son of the late Floyd William Cauthen and Betty Lou Couch Cauthen and was the husband of Lou Tucker Cauthen.  Al owned and operated Cauthen's Sales and Service where he built trailers.  He loved his work and enjoyed working outside on his farm.  Al and Lou enjoyed going to the mountains and traveling other places in their camper.  Al was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Al is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lou Cauthen; a son, James "Al" Cauthen, Jr. (Melissa); a daughter, Missy Robinson (Troy); five grandchildren, J.T. Cauthen, Gavin Cauthen, Preston Robinson, Ina Roberts, and Courtney Roberts; an honorary son, Robert "Tee" Mickle, IV; and a brother, Ronald Wayne Cauthen (Vicky).

Al was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Floyd Cauthen, Jr.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Memorial Service for Al will be 11:00 am Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Oakridge ARP Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jimmy Lambert and Rev. Jerry Branham. Social distancing and masks are required.  The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
