Obituary

LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Agnes "Nan" Bell Baker, age 95, of Lancaster passed away December 13, 2020 at her home.  Mrs. Baker was born on May 14, 1925 Belfast, Northern Ireland, a daughter of the late Samuel Bell and Helen Griffin Bell.   She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, reading, needle working, baking, line dancing with the Lancaster Senior Citizens Club, and traveling to her birthplace.  Mrs. Baker also loved her family dearly. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for many years.

Mrs. Baker is survived by two sons, David Baker, and Mark Baker (Laura), all of Lancaster; two daughters, Maureen Plyler (Mickey) and Lu Anne Ellison, all of Columbia; ten grandchildren, Mickey Plyler, Jr. Anna Rawl, Liza Sansbury, Will Ellison, Elizabeth Tumaliuan, Anne Jalbert, Miranda Christensen, Griffin Baker, Julian Baker, III, and Lyle Baker; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband Julian E. Baker, Sr.; her son, Julian E. Baker, Jr.; her parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Baker will be private.
